The preparation included visit of the area in Vietnam and discussion of the development aid object with Vietnamese partners. The project was supported by the Vietnam's branch of UNDP (United Nations Development Programme), coordinating development aid in Vietnam.

On the basis of local survey and discussion of the Development aid object with Vietnamese partners, it was recommended to split the project into several steps in order to effectively use available resources. The Enviprojecter Division provided Technical tender documents for the 1st step of the project.

The Lunga village, in the North-Eastern part of the Republic of Moldova in the Floresti region, is among the most deteriorated areas in Moldova. Close to the Norh-Western part of the Lunga village, there was a military airbase, which was used as the Marculesti military airport under the Soviet Union. In the southern part of the former airport there is a large fuel storage area composed of several large-volume underground tanks and distribution device. Insufficient protection during handling of fuels and improper handling procedures caused heavy deterioration of drinking water resources in the Lunga village, which represent inacceptable risks both for public health and environment.
The Enviprojecter Division provided Technical tender documents for the 1st and 2nd steps of the project. The development aid project is currently being implemented.
